Camp CHOP summer camp is a culinary camp for kids ages 10-17. This cooking summer camp is all the rage! It provides a fun and dynamic hands-on educational experience for young chefs passionate about the culinary arts. In our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen, our aspiring chefs learn the basics of cooking, baking, and kitchen safety, while enjoying an enriching, memorable and fun summer camp experience. The Camp CHOP instructional team includes professional chefs, veteran teachers, camp professionals, and scientists who provide a truly unique and immersive experience that kids will be talking about all year.
As the newest addition to our world-renowned collection of programs, Camp CHOP benefits from our 40 years of camp and educational program experience, including enhancing the lives of 1.5 million campers who have participated in our programs across the country.

Tour Our Kitchen
Camp CHOP is located two hours north of Raleigh Durham in Clover, Virginia. Campers feel right at home creating delectable dishes at their own cooking stations. Fully equipped with range, microwave, mixer, blender, pots, pans, and cooking utensils, our facility is everything you would find in a proper chef’s kitchen. We have created an environment where campers learn by using hands-on cooking techniques.

More Than A Cooking Camp
Camp CHOP is…more than just in the kitchen! Through exciting and original programming, campers make lifelong friends and summer memories they will never forget. Campers can participate in outdoor adventures such as the giant swing, fish’n float, water obstacles, go-karts; evening programs like fort building, moon landings, spa night, ice creams socials, techno dance parties; and elective activities including paintball, scavenger races, 3D printing, drone flying, building water rovers, LARPing…just to name a few. All our unique activities are created to be challenging, exhilarating, and unforgettable. Don’t miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime!
Our campers will complete the Serve Safe Food Handler certification course. The online course covers Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-Contamination and Allergens, Time & Temperature, and Cleaning & Sanitation. Now it’s time to talk CHOP!!!! Squish & Squash – A Tomato Love Story:
Is there anything more delicious than a homemade tomato sauce? Our campers will choose their favorite locally grown tomatoes and use them to craft their very own sauce from scratch.
Earl and his Sandwich:
Every chef must have one dynamite sandwich in their repertoire. Learn to build the perfect sandwich layer by layer; from choosing the right bread and cheese, to nailing the correct moisture level and adding the perfect sauce.
Dessert is Coming!
Save the best for last…or first! Campers get to embrace their sweet tooth as they create a range of homemade desserts from Crème Brule to hand churned ice cream.

A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $300 is required to register.
If your camper registers for multiple consecutive sessions there is an Additional Fee for STAY OVER of $150.00.
Cancellations due to illness or injury before camp require a letter from the camper’s physician in order to receive a refund of tuition (less the non-refundable deposit). Cancellations for non-medical reasons will result in a cancellation fee in addition to the non-refundable deposit, based upon the date of cancellation. Cancellation fees after May 1st – 25% of full tuition, after May 15th – 50% of full tuition, and after June 1st – 100% of full tuition. Any changes in registration (session, cancellation, flights, etc.) MUST be communicated to our Summer Camp Registrar.
MORE WAYS TO SAVE
Refer a Friend – Does your camper have a friend who wants to attend one of our programs? If you get another child to sign up for camp then you will receive $100 per referral toward your camper’s tuition and the camper you referred will receive $50 towards their tuition. Once you are registered if you have a friend who wants to attend then contact our summer camp register at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will instruct you how you can apply the savings.
Sibling Discount – Save $100 on each additional sibling who registers for any of our programs. Simply sign up and the discount will automatically apply to your account.
